“Roughing It”

All full-time RVers have their favorite boondocking spots, and we certainly found one in eastern Montana. This roadside rest area looks out over the Yellowstone River and, with covered picnic tables, gave us the perfect place to get out of the 90+-degree heat and into some shade.

Ah! This is what we’re talking about!

As the day grew longer, we saw a beaver off the shore of the island below us, and then a family of deer appeared….

…and neighborhood birds dropped onto a nearby bushes to sing for us.

It was a stunning spot, bringing new meaning to the word “priceless.”

And the next morning? Our first glimpse of the Rockies!
