… No, the blog isn’t in “real time.” Entries are posted when we can assemble them and get the onto the Web, which takes time…. So by the time you read about our adventures in one place, we’re very likely already down the road to another.
…Yes, we do still have ordinary lives, in many ways. We have laundry to do, bills to pay, mail to arrange to receive, errands to run, meals to prepare, and trip planning (you can’t just hop into a 38-foot fifth wheel and one-ton dually truck and expect that you can drive down any road, get around any corner, or under any bridge). Oh, yeah, and cleaning the RV. Not to mention the never-ending 😦 and very frustrating RV issues we continue to deal with, which long-time full-timers tell us to get used to as part of the lifestyle.
… And yes, it is nice to be checking the post office for mail in 75-degree weather under blue skies, looking forward to a bike ride later!
… Yes, we are seeing much more of the country and meeting many friendly people along the way.
… California drivers rival Michigan drivers for their aggressive craziness. Drivers in the Dakotas and Washington were much more likely to let us merge, or would wave us through a busy turn.
… The best things we purchased for the RV were the washer and dryer. The best things we added to the truck were the GPS and map programs.
… We’ve discovered where full-timers go when they retire from their travels.
Just in case you’re wondering!
