Up in the Air So Blue

We ended up being in Yuma long enough for the annual MCAS Air Show (Marine Corps Air Station) and thanks to some fellow RVers, we heard that the best way to see the show was to park at the county fairgrounds the day before and watch the rehearsal. “You’ll see the whole show without having to hassle the crowds,” we were told.

And they were right!

We saw everything from the jet bus…

… to the Jelly Belly plane…

… to this Air Force jet that kept buzzing us…

… to all manner of flying military jets…

… including Ellen’s new favorite, the Harrier:

Then during the actual show, we saw the Patriots do their aerobatics from the RV park!

So what could possibly be better than watching these amazing aircraft zoom overhead every day? Getting a close-up look, of course! More on that, next time!
