For friends who thought we’d have to give up traditional joys — like the Fourth of July parade — when we went on the road full-time, here’s evidence that whenever people are together, they’ll figure out a way to celebrate.
In some RV parks and resorts, golf carts are the most popular way to get around. Here at Red Rocks, ATVs were the preferred means of transportation (despite the park’s “Shhh! We like it Quiet Here!” motto…. which we still haven’t quite figured out).
So it made sense that the ATVs be well represented in the park’s July Fourth parade.
But that didn’t mean some of the bigger vehicles didn’t get in on the action:
… kids rode the mechanical bull….
… and the antique car show attracted a few vintage autos (a very few).
Seems a pretty down-home way to celebrate an all-American holiday, don’t you think?
