Being on the road can be like watching a movie filled with beautiful landscapes unfold around us. We see things we thought were long gone, like this haystack…

…horses in wide open spaces…

…homesteads long abandoned…

… all where the deer and antelope play (okay, in this case, where the pronghorn, which aren’t actually antelope, lounge around):

Being on the road also means getting stuck in construction traffic or behind highway crews driving slowly to do weird, unfathomable “testing”…

… and that passenger vehicle every RVer is familiar with… You know the one — it rides your bumper, finally passes you, then drives really slowly in front of you:

So why do we do it put up with all of that?
