Everywhere an Old Sign

Ellen’s dad was a sign painter — yes, once upon a time those large highway billboards were hand-painted. Businesses that could afford lighted signs either lit the hand-lettered, painted signs or dropped the big bucks on neon.

There’s something special about seeing something old, something that’s passed the test of time. It reminds us that everything, including styles, comes around again — if we’re patient enough.
